About the Gru This Is Garbage meme template
Gru holds up something proudly, and immediately gets clowned on by his own family for it. That flat, deadpan insult delivery is the whole joke — someone being brutally honest about how bad your thing actually is while you stand there defending it.
Use it for hot takes nobody asked for, a 'masterpiece' project that's actually held together with tape, or any time you need to gently (or not so gently) tell someone their taste is questionable.
