By using any services ("Services") provided by or originating from MemeBoat ("MemeBoat"), you are agreeing to these terms. Please read them carefully.

Because some of our Services may be very specific, additional terms or product requirements (including age requirements) may apply. Additional terms will be available with the relevant Services, and those additional terms become part of your agreement with us if you use those Services.

Hotlinking and Attribution

If you embed or "hotlink" a meme hosted on MemeBoat servers within another website, then you must include a hyperlink back to https://memebo.at, or the main meme page on MemeBoat.

If you create a meme with MemeBoat, it is preferred that you include a link to the generator page so that people will know how to make their own memes with our generator as well. Since MemeBoat does not currently charge you money for the bandwidth on your memes, we think these link-backs are a reasonable request.

Memes that are hotlinked and are not accompanied by one of the links mentioned above are subject to removal.

Spam

Do not spam. Spamming includes posting links exclusively to your own content or monetization, posting malware links, posting irrelevant content, posting lengthy or irrelevant "copypastas", and anything else that is clearly a detriment to the MemeBoat community.

Any automated or excessive use of our services that impacts performance or user experience is prohibited and may result in service restrictions.

Conduct

In any content that you create or modify while using MemeBoat, do not discriminate against any sect, commit or condone illegal acts, harass others, or otherwise make it less fun for other people. MemeBoat is a place to be creative and have fun!

While MemeBoat highly values freedom of expression, please express your opinions in a way that is kind and respectful to all people of the world, or if stating your opinion does not follow these terms, please keep it to yourself or post it elsewhere.

Memes or other content whose sole purpose is to attack a person or group of people in a condemning and non-humorous way are subject to deletion. In particular, please be careful when authoring content around sensitive subjects such as politics, religion, and race.

MemeBoat is not a pornographic website

The MemeBoat generators can be used for anything that does not violate these terms, but please avoid creating pornographic content on our platform. Any pornographic images are subject to removal.

This includes images that are pornographic or primarily erotic in nature, even if private parts are censored or technically covered. If it's allowed at a public beach or a non-x-rated magazine cover, it's probably okay on MemeBoat.

Age Requirements

You must be at least 13 years of age to use our Services. Content on MemeBoat is not targeted to people under 13 years of age.

Media and Uploading

By uploading any type of media or other content (including but not limited to images, video, and audio) to MemeBoat, or by pasting a URL into the MemeBoat Meme Generator or other MemeBoat tools, you are agreeing that:

Rights compliance

Doing so does not violate or infringe anyone else's rights

Usage rights

You have the rights to use whatever content you are uploading or requesting

Modification rights

You have the rights to modify that content in whichever ways you decide to modify it while using MemeBoat

Public availability

If you make the original or edited content publicly available, other users of the Services can also use the content with the Service with no obligation to you

Using our Services

You must follow any policies made available to you within the Services.

Don't misuse our Services. For example, don't interfere with our Services or try to access them using a method other than the interface and the instructions that we provide. You may use our Services only as permitted by law, including applicable export and re-export control laws and regulations.

We may suspend or stop providing our Services to you if you do not comply with our terms or policies or if we are investigating suspected misconduct.

Using our Services does not give you ownership of any intellectual property rights in our Services or the content you access. You may not use content from our Services unless you obtain permission from its owner or are otherwise permitted by law.

Privacy and Copyright Protection

MemeBoat's privacy policies explain how we treat your personal data and protect your privacy when you use our Services. By using our Services, you agree that MemeBoat can use such data in accordance with our privacy policies.

We respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement and terminate accounts of repeat infringers according to the process set out in the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act. If you think somebody is violating your copyrights and want to notify us, you can contact us at@i_am_memeboatwith details of the infringement.

Your Content in our Services

Some of our Services allow you to submit content. You retain ownership of any intellectual property rights that you hold in that content. In short, what belongs to you stays yours.

When you upload or otherwise submit content to our Services, you give MemeBoat (and those we work with) a worldwide license to use, host, store, reproduce, modify, create derivative works (such as those resulting from translations, adaptations or other changes we make so that your content works better with our Services), communicate, publish, publicly perform, publicly display and distribute such content.

The rights you grant in this license are for the limited purpose of operating, promoting, and improving our Services, and to develop new ones. This license continues even if you stop using our Services.

Modifying and Terminating our Services

We are constantly changing and improving our Services. We may add or remove functionalities or features, and we may suspend or stop a Service altogether.

You can stop using our Services at any time, although we'll be sorry to see you go. MemeBoat may also stop providing Services to you, or add or create new limits to our Services at any time.

Our Warranties and Disclaimers

We provide our Services using a commercially reasonable level of skill and care and we hope that you will enjoy using them. But there are certain things that we don't promise about our Services.

OTHER THAN AS EXPRESSLY SET OUT IN THESE TERMS OR ADDITIONAL TERMS, NEITHER MEMEBOAT NOR ITS SUPPLIERS OR DISTRIBUTORS MAKE ANY SPECIFIC PROMISES ABOUT THE SERVICES. FOR EXAMPLE, WE DON'T MAKE ANY COMMITMENTS ABOUT THE CONTENT WITHIN THE SERVICES, THE SPECIFIC FUNCTION OF THE SERVICES, OR THEIR RELIABILITY, AVAILABILITY, MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR ABILITY TO MEET YOUR NEEDS. WE PROVIDE THE SERVICES "AS IS".

Liability for our Services

WHEN PERMITTED BY LAW, MEMEBOAT, AND MEMEBOAT'S SUPPLIERS AND DISTRIBUTORS, WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUES, OR DATA, FINANCIAL LOSSES OR INDIRECT, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.

TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE TOTAL LIABILITY OF MEMEBOAT, AND ITS SUPPLIERS AND DISTRIBUTORS, FOR ANY CLAIM UNDER THESE TERMS, INCLUDING FOR ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US TO USE THE SERVICES (OR, IF WE CHOOSE, TO SUPPLYING YOU THE SERVICES AGAIN).

IN ALL CASES, MEMEBOAT, AND ITS SUPPLIERS AND DISTRIBUTORS, WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS OR DAMAGE THAT IS NOT REASONABLY FORESEEABLE.
