About the Mario Victim 1 meme template
Long before jump-scare compilations were a genre, there was this: a Super Mario World ROM hack called simply "MARIO," quietly uploaded in 2010, that hid a distorted red-and-black screaming face deep in its files. Fans nicknamed it Victim #1, and the image became the poster child for creepypasta-era internet horror, the kind of thing that got passed around forums with warnings attached. That pointing finger and gaping mouth still reads as pure dread.
Now it works just as well as a punchline. Drop it in whenever something innocent turns out to be deeply wrong, when a group chat message lands with unhinged energy, or when you need a reaction image that says "this broke something in me." Add your own top and bottom text and let the cursed plumber do the talking.
