About the Trash Can Race meme template
Track suit on, hood up, hand braced on the ground like the Olympics are about to start — except the opponent is a blue wheeled trash can that isn't even plugged in. This is the Trash Can Race meme, and it's the gold standard for "I will absolutely not win this but I'm treating it like a final."
Use it any time someone commits way too hard to a competition nobody else is taking seriously: racing your dog, racing a Roomba, racing your own expectations. The energy is 100% Olympic trials, the stakes are 0% real.
