About the The Cake Is A Lie meme template
One chocolate cake, one lonely candle, sitting on a table in the dark like a promise that's about to be broken. If you know, you know — this is THE cake, the one GLaDOS dangled in front of you for an entire game before revealing it never existed.
Use it for anything that's a bait-and-switch: the raise that never comes, the 'we'll circle back' that never happens, the reward at the end of a long grind that turns out to be nothing. It's a broken-promise meme with a birthday candle on top.
