About the Hungry for Nothing meme template
A guy in a plaid shirt makes a big show of uncovering a fancy silver serving dome on a yacht, building anticipation with "I hope you're hungry" — then flips it to reveal an empty tray while his buddy facepalms in disbelief. It's the ultimate bait-and-switch reaction, tailor-made for anything that promises big and delivers absolutely nothing.
Use it for the group project that was all talk, the concert lineup that got downgraded, the raise that never came, or any moment someone builds you up just to let you down. The empty tray does all the talking.
