About the Cookie Monster Shining meme template
Somebody swapped Jack Nicholson's axe-wielding face for Cookie Monster's felt grin, and somehow it's scarier. The terrified woman in the purple robe hasn't gotten the memo that this is supposed to be a kids' character, and honestly neither has Cookie Monster.
Perfect for any time a small, dumb, or completely non-threatening thing shows up and someone reacts like their life is ending — a spider, a notification, a Monday. The absurd mismatch between the horror-movie fear and the fuzzy blue muppet doing the horrifying is the whole joke.
